Big changes are afoot!
It’s the eve of my first day with students at my new school for the new school year of 2020-2021.
My number 1 “New School Year Resolution” is TO GET TO BED AT A TIME SO THAT I CAN GET AT LEAST SEVEN HOURS OF SLEEP!!!
Sorry to shout there, but I need to remind myself of how important this is for my overall well-being.
So, I’m going to curtail my posting here in a couple of key ways.
First, I’ve canceled the “My Paper.li” membership. It was fun to curate and share that every day, but it will be too much as I shift to lesson planning and grading once again.
Second, I’m going to keep this Photo O’ Day post very short – just the Civil Rights historical event, the days until the election and inauguration and the photo (with short commentary) My goal is to keep the time on each post to just 10 minutes or less.
I appreciate your understanding and flexibility as I focus just on the historical import of capturing a photo each day during this unprecedented period.

As I walked into church this morning before mass I saw this simple board for the elementary school children returning to their school on Monday morning.
Perhaps needless to say, it made me smile.
