READING! “My” for Monday, July 20th

It’s the 51st anniversary of the day humans first set foot on the moon.

I didn’t need to do the math on how many years since, b/c I was born exactly six months after this tremendous historic event. This means two important things:

First, since my birthday (Jan 20th) is the presidential inauguration day, it’s six months until we HOPEFULLY end the on-going disaster that has been POTUS#45.

And, six months after the birthday (Jan 20, 2020) that I turned fifty years old means that today is my half-birthday.

Keeping the image small as it’s not really that big of a deal.

Instead of a song about Monday, here’s my favorite song about space and the exploration of it:

See the bottom of this post for the song which is a “sequel” to this classic.

And James Hohmann, host of The Daily 202 – Big Idea podcast from the Washington Post, returned today after two weeks of vacation.

Today’s episode is heartbreaking as he tells the story of a couple of families who’ve lost loved ones to COVID-19 and are angry at how deplorably the U.S. leadership continues to avoid meaningful efforts to curb the death and suffering from the coronavirus.
