I don’t usually have just one article in a post – especially one that is IMPORTANT and thus pinned to the top of the blog.
I do this because this article discusses a solid study with conclusions that are far reaching and critical to consider as schools seek to re-open in about a month or so from now.
A key take-away from the article:
“I fear that there has been this sense that kids just won’t get infected or don’t get infected in the same way as adults and that, therefore, they’re almost like a bubbled population,” said Michael Osterholm, an infectious diseases expert at the University of Minnesota.
“There will be transmission,” Dr. Osterholm said. “What we have to do is accept that now and include that in our plans.”https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/18/health/coronavirus-children-schools.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage
