Today’s Photo O’ Day comes from a story of vandalism and violence – perhaps meant to send a racist message:
“Frederick Douglass Statue Vandalized in Rochester (NY) Park”


This vandalism happened on July 5th – the day after the anniversary of a powerful speech given by Douglass on Independence Day. I talked about this speech in my Photo O’ Day post yesterday.
