Pandemic Photo O’ Day 60

Yep, it’s nearly two months since I started my count of the days in this COVID Crisis.

Tuesday the 12th for me was a pretty special day as I got to go to one of my favorite places.

No, the libraries aren’t open here yet. Instead I went to the coolest, funkiest independent bookshop in Columbus – The Book Loft.

I’m going to let the images here speak for themselves to those of you not fortunate enough to live in (or have traveled to visit) Columbus.

I believe today was the first day they were allowed to be open for customers to enter and shop.

Since I’m on their email list, I got the notice that they were taking appointments for visits. Enthusiastically, I immediately signed up for two o’clock in the afternoon.

It was my 16 year-old daughter who precipitated the visit as she hates to read digital books.

And she’s run out of things to read (b/c the libraries are still closed)

I am fine with reading digital books and I have no shortage of library books checked out (did I mention that the libraries are still closed?)

So, I wasn’t looking for books. And it wasn’t until we got there that I realized they also sell something that I’m craving more of (and I don’t like to do these digitally) – JIGSAW PUZZLES!

It took me a while of looking (up, where they are stocked) to find the right puzzle for me.

And my daughter found four books that she wants to read.

So it was a very good visit – and even better to have somewhere good (and safe) to go outside of my house today!
