On today’s National Day Calendar, we start with a somber memorial:

It was on this day, 25 years ago, that 168 people, including 19 children under the age of 6 years old, were killed by massive bomb. Nearly 700 people were injured in this attack – until September 11, 2001 – the deadly act of terrorism on US soil.
If you have a moment today, visit the museum and memorial created on the site where the attacked federal building stood.

On a far less serious note, it’s the day to celebrate garlic and the adult beverage – amaretto. Maybe enjoy them in the same recipe?
It’s the day that we celebrate the “Peace Garden State” – North Dakota.
