It’s Palm or Passion Sunday and the start of Holy Week 2020.
Here’s today’s issue of my daily paper:

More than a few things and activities on the national calendar today —
There are three foods honored today – Deep dish pizza, Raisin and spice bars, caramel.
A particularly important celebration is for Gold Star Spouses – a time to honor the surviving loved ones of service people killed in the line of duty.

It’s a day to honor Geologists and to celebrate the state of Nebraska.
If you’re not sure how you’d drive from your home to Nebraska, it’s also Read a Road Map Day.
Finally (I told you there were a few celebrations today,) it’s the rather oddly titled Go for Broke Day. It’s a remembrance of a inspiring moment near the end of WWII when a serviceman sacrificed himself to save others.

And one of the odder (and purely future oriented days) is First Contact Day

This “commemorates a fictional day in the future when an alien species visits Earth and makes contact with earthlings for the first time”

Possible? Perhaps, but only if the aliens know how to read a roadmap.
