It’s Friday again and time for some clever levity! C’mon, after this busy week, you earned a few minutes to explore this fun Mental Floss link displaying 10 infographics with Myers-Briggs inspired type listings of your favorite characters from the following pop culture stories:
- Game of Thrones
- My Little Pony
- Lord of the Rings
- The Walking Dead
- Harry Potter
- Disney Princesses
- Grey’s Anatomy
- Marvel Comics
- Star Wars
- Star Trek
My favorite two out of the ten are:
If you’re not familiar with the MBTI, Mental Floss offers this information:
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) is an instrument to define your personality along four parameters: (I) Introversion vs. (E) Extroversion, (N) Intuiting vs. (S) Sensing, (T) Thinking vs. (F) Feeling, and (J) Judging vs. (P) Perceiving. Trying the instrument gives you a “type,” indicated by a combination of four letters. There are 16 possible combinations, which lend themselves well to a chart, called the Myers-Briggs type table.
As I was thinking about this blog post, I was very pleased to see that Stephen Colbert had a hilarious segment about the MBTI on his “Late Show” last week. It’s a clever piece on him getting help in discovering “the real Stephen Colbert”
For what it’s worth (spoiler alert) Colbert is an INFP and I’m close to that as an ENFJ.
Happy first October weekend!
